Consecration Sunday

         It’s All About a Serious Wrestling Match with God!

Text:    Genesis 32:22-30

Devoting all of yourself and all of your stuff to God becomes a serious wrestling match of faith. Jacob wrestled in hand to hand combat with God. Although Jacob could not win, God graciously allowed Jacob to prevail as he tested the strength of his resolve and faith. Today we consecrate all that we are and have to God as an act of worship. It is the Lord’s pleasure to be overcome by faith.  We know he holds his promise of life and salvation in his hand for us.
